About the Mekteb
The Islamic Center Gazi Isa-beg mekteb represents one of the most important educational and upbringing pillars of the community . A total of 580 students are currently enrolled in the mekteb classes, cared for by 10 teachers (muallims), organized according to age groups and levels of knowledge.
Mekteb Program
The goal of the program is for children, through continuous and tailored learning, to build a strong foundation in Islamic knowledge, proper worship (ibadah), and good manners. Mekteb instruction is conducted through six levels, adapted to the children’s age and prior knowledge.

Learning basic Islamic concepts and the correct performance of the prayer .

Learning the supplications (duas) of the Prophet ﷺ from the book “Protection of the Young Muslim.”

Learning Arabic letters (harf) and reading the Qur’an.

Memorization of surahs along with the basic rules of tajweed.

Gradual transition to learning Juz ‘Amma.
